How we hold the science

Known, strange, and still a mystery

What we know

What we expect shapes what we notice. Attention and expectation filter what becomes visible, meaningful and actionable. That part is ordinary, well-studied psychology.

What is strange

In quantum physics, measuring a system changes which behaviour shows up, and delayed-choice experiments show the measurement arrangement decides what appears. An observer there means any interaction or instrument, not a mind.

What is still a mystery

Whether the observer is as separate from reality as we usually assume. Wheeler's participatory universe is a philosophical invitation, not settled fact, and we hold it as one.

This course does not claim that consciousness collapses the wavefunction, or that your thoughts create external reality. The physics is a lens and an analogy, and we say so when it is.

Who made this

Laura’s vision, Roy’s build

The Salon was Laura Vaillancourt’s vision: a place to do the inner work in good company. Laura convenes the Salon and curates each principle; Roy Castleman built the foundation and makes the teaching films. This course came out of that room, gathering by gathering.

Questions

Is it really mine for good?

Yes. A principle course you buy is yours to keep: no subscription, no expiry. Watch at your own pace and come back to it whenever you like.

Do I need the earlier principles first?

No. Each principle in Quantum Theories stands on its own. They deepen each other, but you can start with Observer Effect.

Can I join the Salon later?

Yes. When you finish the course you'll find an invitation into the Salon waiting at the end of it, where the principles are walked live, Sunday by Sunday.

What if it's not for me?

The refund terms for digital courses will be set out plainly before payments open. Until then there is nothing to pay, and a person answers if you have a question.

Is there more on this principle?

These are the first series, not the complete set. The principles here are a starting point: there is more depth in each one, and more themes still to come as the Salon keeps going.
